I am 2 hrs into this & so far nothing has been established.
The MC is literally the "I'm not like other girls" influencer. A bunch of background trauma is vomited up about her now dead mother & we FINALLY get to the haunted house.
The writing is very amateurish. The author thinks yelling at little girls for eating treats will cause them to watch their weight... not eat as way to deal with emotional abuse!
