Okay but why is this kid the most 2005-coded brand of "quirk"? Like Dawsons Creek meets Perks of Being a Wallflower meets probably that kid from Little Miss Sunshine idk. If Foer had given him 2-3 of these qualities it would be mildly more survivable but this kid is insufferable!!
I am only in it for the grandparent letters at this point.

The kid is still annoying but the letters in between the present day chapters are changing my brain chemistry.
