Not much progress today on account of other concerns this morning, but some developments are not shaping up the way I expected at this point!

Altogether quite amusing. Being invested in characters who you aren’t entirely sure whether you *like* them as individuals but find to be at the least entertaining and funny is a joy.

I’m trying to imagine if a plot like what I read today was written by a Robert Jordan and I have to laugh. Even Jordan at his most concise would have taken a few hundred pages to do what Dumas just did in 60, solely on account of how much he would have insisted filling out in the narrative without it being strictly necessary 😂

Well this has certainly been a delight thus far!

The titular musketeers and d’Artagnan are all wuite amusing, and so are all the happenings of the story up to this point.

First couple chapters read! Fun enough so far; wish I had read more but my I keep running out of time because I've sleeping in too late the last couple weeks LOL

Oh well, excited to continue. Hoping this goes as quick as CoMC did!

Just the preface, so basically read nothing, but excited to get into more Dumas!

Weird I’m reading more Dumas before more Hugo tho…
