This wasn’t my favorite. I guess I could’ve connected with FMC because her background was confusing and why she stayed with her husband for so long made no sense. Mmc also was just okay. I think it being so short made it hard to really get the progression. Mmc is a mafia guy and takes FMC as payment for her husbands death.

Supposedly the dad was collecting millions from the husband in payment for her. All this was extremely confusing to me. Oh and husband has a mistress with baby who FMC doesn’t know abou. But she’s allowed him to cheat on her several times , talk to her crazy and still stayed. I just wanted more insight into what the reasoning was behind that.

Mmc has had his eyes on FMC since researching her husband due to the debt he owes. They hook up the night before after approaching her at a restaurant she was being stood up by husband on their anniversary. FMC supposedly use to be a stripper and used that money to get her husbands business started. Her mom also has dementia and her dad is an important bishop her mom had an affair with
