Identify problems and call them out thought that was the only way to do the job

If that sounds like how you’re experiencing HR
You have a chance to step back and pause

Ask yourself this
Is everyone and everything really broken?
Negativity breeds negativity
It never does anything constructive
Only leads to anxie, frustration, and disappointment
Negativity doesn’t have to be big

This is a short book so I keep on getting my progress mixed up from other books I'm in

Usually the same amount of time. I'm a fraction less but this book seems to be going by pretty fast

When people have innate talent

You have to address people like people

You have to be consistent with it

Within the short-sighted pain

You'll be surprised on how you'll find alternative solutions

Surround yourself with positive people

As positive as you are

It’s really scary what’s happening. Really bizarre

Very true. We all have different motivations, good or bad, and it can really complicate things quickly when people are doing things for all the wrong reasons.

Always good to check our motivations and be mindful of others and their needs. Life is very complicated to say the least!!

The “Verde” of the situation is I’m complicated…

It’s like Swedish

“Man” means “but”

“Men” mean. “Husband”

The humour of language is lost on me

I don't think this book was written for me, but for people I'd like to understand.

Sound like they're great People 😁

I just don't want to make vocal that I'm the complicated one. So I'm not sending emails or calls 🤙

Although I'm hoping not to get sick from it.

30 days to remember every colleague in person in the workforce at a small startup

If the author didn’t know all the colleagues who

He settled the names at the end of 30 days and the CEO said good. You did great now if you ever forget one of those names…..he said it’s a subdued

These are the people at my company and they run the company your here for my people

Apologies not apologist

Not to far of a stretch for a word

Most people are stressed about People are the most people in HR.

🤔

HR is a lot like apologist

Hmmmm…
I like apologist or I figure I do….

Mostly cause they’re driven with being complicated themselves

Nigel It can just be a negativity cloud that hangs over everything in all things
People just cringe thinking being near that person
Or being near or humour her

Time for another pause
Just for a moment Think about all the people you work with Can you think of someone who drains you and others? How long did it take you to think of someone? Less than a second.

Since this is such a strong forced succession
That we openly push against it’s no wonder That people in HR come discourage

You have to wonder if there’s a way to destroy a negativity
There is if you wanna simply approach something differently

Mark Porton Some of the most toxic people I met in the workplace, over 35+ years in the Australian Public Health System never changed. They dont. The only way to solve the issue re these people is for them to vote with their feet and leave.

Do you work in HR Nigel?

😊

Nigel No, Mark. But for me being a complicated person and needing HR support but fearing if I speak up I’ll lose my job because how I deal with stress is…
Well having a wok concussion I was a toxic guy for a decade and job flipped many a year. This last decade I’ve really only had two jobs which is a huge improvement for me.

It’s just stress is stress for me and I’m trying not to easily get stressed about my workplace. So I’m in books on my days off readings or something about work.. a work ethic for well being complicated employee. The book wasn’t written for me I find but for themes of hr saving being appreciated or approachable

It’d save me a world of trouble if I put things on notice for record if I did get sick and need time off
