Italy is so me I hate how Americans want to eat dinner early like 6-7 pm is a wildly early dinner time nothing can change my mind

Wait reading about ramin drinking tea in this and critiquing the quality is giving me the craziest flashbacks to when I was in high school and interviewed adib for a book festival and he gave me a tin of nice quality tea as a gift… I forgot how into tea he was he actually lowkey invented my tea obsession

Also I hate to say it but adib’s writing style here isn’t entirely my thing it’s a lot of immediate physical character descriptions in depth when anyone gets introduced which makes it sound clunky and a bit like how I used to write in high school

I take it back maybe I don’t want kc rep in books this feels a little too real it’s hard to get the escapism I want out of it

Even though I’ve literally worked with Adib and know he’s from kc it still jumpscared me to realize they live in kc and see that written on the page lmao

Also I really suspected it from the second they said they were in a Brazilian steakhouse in the plaza
