Spice lovers are gonna hate this book but fans of a slow burn and miscommunication tropes are gonna love it

I'm determined to finish this in one sitting if I can gosh darn it. You can't just talk about Bloedewedd and Gronw Pebwr and expect me not to be invested

This is a slow burn, for sure. I can't say yet even this far into it if I like it or not because the main character is the only one that feels even remotely like a person and not a side character

This is more character driven than plot, very little has happened in these first 100 pages. The Prince Osian seems like a wet blanket and the whole time I'm reading this I'm thinking, man I wish I was rereading Captive Prince right now.

This gets moving pretty darn fast, my copy doesn't have page numbers but I'm assuming the marriage is as early as like 20 pages in
