At this point, I am really getting the wisdom of the run, walk, run method. It keeps you injury free and gives you the ability to run farther and possibly faster which seems counterintuitive as you would think the walking would slow you down.

Through Chapter 7. Big takeaway at the beginning of Chapter 8…”The general rule during the first year of running is that you cannot go too slow or walk too often. Goal one is to stay injury free. Goal two is to enjoy every run. The best way I’ve found to reach these goals is to walk early and often.”

Chapters 1-3. This book is really resonating with me and making me feel good about the run walk run method. I have been using this method in my run though not accredited to Jeff Galloway. It was just the adaptation that worked for me in doing C25K. Now I am discovering it is a proven method for running that prevents unjustly! Bonus!
