I absolutely love slow books. *happy sigh* These mysteries and discoveries are most intriguing.

Making progress!
What a fine afternoon for reading. It's magical when you're reading a book about a breezy island on your bed, while your own windows are open and a nice breeze is filtering through the windows. ...It's also weird that it's as hot as it is in February, but it was still very nice.
Candle Island is a perfect mid-spring or early-summer read, I think. Or in my case, mid-winter. XP

A very somber, very colorful (literally; Lucretia and her mom are artists, so everything being described with a color is a thing), and very chill book. I'm enjoying it! Can't wait to see how Lucretia gets along with Murdock and Bastian, and if she ever is welcomed by the Islanders.

The cover is pretty. The title is cool. We were at a bookstore. It just happened. ;) Hopefully this will be worth the hardcover price. :P
