Reading this side by side with Fossil hunters got to be a interesting experience. This whole book covers Copes fossil expedition to badlands in Montana. I think so far the event are a little different from Sternberg in his original account, but I do see how the character are a little over exaggerated compared to to the real counters parts. Cope feels like a good guy base of what Crichton and Sternberg write. But irl?

I really liked this quote: “Mr. Lewis was amused with this new pupil; photography was not a rich man's pursuit, but rather a shifty business for people who lacked the capital to embark on more prestigious livelihood.”


I like the historical addition. Sometime the author goes on about the moment then historical fact. Smt I see in Jurassic park.

Pretty interesting start so far. The set up is pretty good, I wonder what will happen next. Idk if to treat this as western or smt on part with Jurassic park.
