Made another few chapters of progress. Subtlety of world-building and stuff that avoids info-dumping yet leaves the reader very interested to learn more. Very well done in that way.

Steady progress still. Still really really enjoying myself. Solid dark fantasy vibe, with a very limited plot scope that still makes room for broader worldbuilding ideas and lore and stuff but which doesn't encroach on said plot...very well handled to this point.

Been in a slump for a little while, unfortunately. Managed to get 40 pages read today at least. Let's see if I can actually finish by the end of the month.
(My last attempt to update I typo'd the page number HARD lmao, I am most certainly not 284 pages in lmao; don't ask how it happened, cuz I don't know lol.)

Big progress yesterday (my update didn't save apparently lol), not so much today unfortunately, but I'm really enjoying Act 2 so far. Great character introductions and interactions occurring.

Still really enjoying this one. Gonna continue to take it slow now that I’m done with The Gathering Storm.
The dark world and supernatural stuff and magic is all really enticing, and effectively utilized thus far.

Doing a readalong in the Red Company for this (as the author is a member of the community), and I must say, tonal and atmospheric start is super well done. Really brooding and interesting right from the start. Very intrigued by the main character and his past. And a brief little set-piece in the first few setting the stage for some deeper goings on was a great hook. Despite it being short, I’ll be taking this slow!
