Status Update

King Crusoe is on page 556 of 824

Forgot to update my reading this morning.

Whoever has been saying TGS is peak might just be on to something. This is the most I’ve cared about Rand’s active storyline - and the most excited I’ve been about the series writ large - since Fires of Heaven, which was the last book I gave 5/5.

This has HUGE potential (a near guarantee) to be Top 3 of the series by the end.

Decent progress despite a slow morning. The Hinderstap section was really awesome. Love when esoteric supernatural stuff plays an active roll in the series.

The POV switching Sando’s been doing here is so refreshing. Actually supplies an implicitly sense of urgency, like every chapter actually has to have a reason to exist! (Wow, what a concept 😱)

Really enjoying myself with this one so far. Doesn’t feel like I’ve read as many pages as I have compared to prior books. Onward! Goal is be through Chapter 13 tomorrow for a video on Thursday (should be easy enough!)

Got a decent chunk of the book read so far. Gotta say: I'm surprisingly into the POV switching every chapter so far compared to Jordan's multi-chapter dumping for each storyline. We'll see how this continues!

For once, a reasonably-lengthed Prologue, and which decided to be mostly relevant to main storylines without actually utilizing primary POVs. Thank you, Sando.

Also, that last Prologue POV reaaally just further solidifies how fucking useless the entire Perrin plotline of the last (*checks watch*) 4 books—FOUR—was.
