i love when a sci-fi book has cool detailed science facts about The Creatures instead of just relying on them being unknown and unknowable. They spent years studying triffids and still were no match for them lmao

I remember when I got this book someone told me this book is sexist and after reading it I am baffled why they think that. Josella is actually a person!

Right!! She's actually a person, and contributes to the story outside of being *just* the love interest. She's out here proposing end-of-the-world survival strategies that bill never even thought to think of
