If I keep reading before bed I will lose sleep altogehter, so... we're not doing that tonight. Instead I will try to get ready without thinking about this story, while trying to ignore everyday noises of neighbours that are for some reason unsettling now

Oh please don't do this to me this early on already - I am feeling sorry for Uncle Earl. How dare you make his body hurt in *multiple* places and describe him limping through a dark hall? Of course it might be me, I already cried today because of a sad video about grief, but maybe this is going to feel like a punch to the heart later on
