I don't know what a soup dumpling is, but it sounds gross.

This book tries my patience at every turn I swear. She spent all this time researching China but somehow never came across soup dumplings? And we can't Google despite our phone in our pocket?

Oh wow. We finally see why Juniper made the decisions she did. Its actually quite tragic. That being said I still hate her. Two things can be true. The only thing I don't like is now I also hate Athena because what she did was really gross/inconsiderate. I've never been a fan of stories where I don't like any character.

There's exactly one instance I'll feel bad for Juniper but only because a lot of us are in that situation. When she finally got paid, the first thing she did was pay off her student loans and go to the dentist. It's what we're all working towards. I'm still not going to approve of her methods.

Reparations. Reparations she says. For what you absolute trash. You didn't even work at the same company. How were you robbed. Make it make sense. All my highlights in this are gonna be me screaming I swear.

This is going to be a very slow read.

Holy nuts I'm remembering why I didn't get very far in this book the first time. Juniper is so damn annoying. I'm not happy about my post-grad life either but you don't need to be this bitchy about it towards someone more successful than you. Its not Athena's fault her books deals fall through. If she hates Athena so much, then grow a pair and stop hanging out. I've literally never hated a character this fast.
