sorry to intrude on your update but i'm just reminded of my white friend telling me that her othello hot take (with the disclaimer she did not mean this dramatically but in terms of character) was that othello was an asshole so desdemona would be happier married to cassio .. don't know how to articulate it bc i don't know othello TOO well but that felt deeply wrong😭
