Their golden scars ~ “a mark in healing to remind of what they’d survived. A constant reminder of what wasn’t strong enough to break either of them. A constant reminder of her fearless sacrifice and his immense love for her.”

“Not bc she couldn’t do it herself, but bc she didn’t mind letting him take care of her.”

This dynamic in their relationship really hits home for me personally. It’s difficult to surrender your strength and really let someone take care of you.
