Dallas- I had a feeling. Only because you’re mine, too.

Maven is easily the hottest woman I’ve been with. She’s confident and sexy in a way that tells me she knows exactly what she likes and exactly how she wants things done. She’s the one with the power here, and I’m going to do my best to keep up.

Dallas “Fuck it. Fuck staying away. Fuck shouldn’t. I don’t just want you, Maven. I fucking need you like I need air. Can I have you? Please let me have you.”
Maven- “Yes,” she says, and that single word rearranges my entire world. “You can have me. All of me, Dallas, because you’ve always had me.”

Dallas- “Why are you wearing my jersey, Maven?”
Maven- “Because,” she whispers, and her fingers hook in the belt loop of my jeans. “You said it was mine for the rest of the season. It makes me think I could be yours, too.”

Dallas- I clutch my side and wheeze. “I’m sorry. I didn’t think that through. I was trying to be romantic, and it came off as incredibly serial-killery.”
Maven- “Uh, yeah. I feel like you might rival Ted Bundy with that entrance.”

He went back to their apartment to tell her how he feels.

Maverick-You’re making a lot of excuses for why you shouldn’t be with her. Forget the league—you have 10 more years in you, tops. Forget June—she’ll be old enough to understand emotions soon. Forget about ethics & rules & all of that shit. At the end of the day, Dallas, what’s going to make you happy?
Dallas-I can’t⁠
M-You can. You think about others too damn much. What do you want?
D-I want her.

Dallas tells Maverick & Reid about his feelings for Maven. He’s looking for their advice.

Dallas- It hits me, then, as I think about someone else taking Maven’s spot one day down the road.
She’s irreplaceable.
Not just as a nanny or someone behind the camera at football games, but as the woman I want by my side until the end of time.
I’m totally and completely head over heels for her, and I need to figure out a way to fucking have her once and for all.

“You’re wrong, you know.” Maven untangles herself and looks up at me. “June’s not the only one who likes you for more than your career. I do too. And whatever woman you end up with one day will as well. You’re the kindest, most gentle man I’ve ever met, and if you lost football tomorrow, I’d still think the same thing.”
