this book would've been more interesting and enjoyable to read if it was pure fiction, then I could excuse the sloppy research, basic mistakes, and the early 2000s fanfiction-style of romance writing

This books keeps randomly jumping from topic to topic so much that it's extremely hard to stay interested in reading it ngl

This book is such bullshit tbh, it still can't decide if it's a romance historical fiction, a sailing almanach, or some sort of biography. To describe in excruciating detail the Beaufort scale and not even ONCE mention it's called the Beaufort scale?! And then jump into some random facts about a coastline? Who the fuck edited this shit. Still not over the typo in Eldridge's name, this shit ain't been fact checked.

this is getting decent, but I would've appreciated some sources... had to do my own research to check some things smh
