As much as I love Wen and Hilo's relationship, and enjoyed this backstory to it, this one was a little too close to 'Romantasy' for my taste. I have no problem with folks who enjoy that kind of thing, but I found myself skipping the last 25% or so of this story. 3.5 out 5 stars for me.

Solid backstory for Ayt Mata and Anden’s mother. Not amazing, but solid 4 Stars. Mata has always been so focused and driven.
