I can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I might have reached my saturation point with toxic lesbians, even if they're flying around in the Great Red Spot of Jupiter! I really enjoyed Mortal Follies, but this is a bit of a grind. I thought this was going to do for Moby Dick what the Chosen and the Beautiful did for Gatsby, but unfortunately it's not working for me. No more sperm jokes, please, I can't take it!

I am done with Alexis hall writing toxic characters as people we are supposed to root for or want to follow. There is a pattern in their recent books. I am not even sampling this one but I am not surprised at all with your comment. And seriously wtf is it with tor an tordotcom and lesbians in space? It is becoming a meme.

For real, as an elder queer I'm really starting to be over the whole "sapphic" marketing gimmick. I expect better of Tor!
I do want very much more, and a hopefully happy ending together for Gideon and Harrow then, whenever the author is ready to tell that part of the story. That will be an auto pre-order for sure.
