Okay so I finished this ~5 days ago. As the end of a series, this was a good finish. As soon as the idea of Carrie sacrificing herself popped up, I knew she’d be brought back (like Cyrus, for the millionth time now) as a human — same for Nathan. Can’t be mad at that, as foolishly hopeful an end it is.

Didn’t hit as hard for me as the earlier books in the series (the first was prob my fave)… the plot was pretty predictable and tied up loose ends bc it’s the last book. Would def read more Jenny Trout books. This one is a 3.5 that I’ll round to 3. And they all lived happily ever after.

Wasn’t expecting Bill to be brought into the fold, and romance the gay son!! (Holy age gap) or the scene where they get together lmao. Also got icked out by Max & Bella over the phone (bleh) as well as by what Dahlia did to Nate (omg the visceral reaction I had once it was revealed he was skinned blehhhhhh). Honourable mention for the little army of Henries + Henrietta, how silly.
