David is spiraling, and it’s unclear what’s real and what’s not. This feels both suffocating and like something is about to burst.

It’s getting weirder and darker and dangerously enticing for those who feel like they don’t belong.

So mysterious and bleakly lyrical, interspersed with mounting body horror and… cosmic horror? Portal horror?
I just want to keep reading, but it’s Monday and I have Things to do.

I feel like I’m unlocking facts and places and secrets along with David, the MC. It’s all very strange and I want to scream at David’s parents to tell him (and me) what the HELL IS GOING ON? Why and where are these people disappearing? Why aren’t we supposed to know??

Wow, this is definitely beautifully written. Confusing, but immersive. I love the way Hardaker uses her words. Now I can only hope that the plot is just as good.

“Something solid drives through my gut, like a wall of water, and I'm a ghost.”

Well, that’s certainly an intriguing first line.
