This book is an actual joy to read, which is so rare. Lovable characters, determined fmc who isn't either too stupid, too stubborn, rude or rash, and mmc who's more kindly supportive in his teasing than being pushy or bullying. And I do like returning to my favourite kind of plot, which is a quest / journey type of fantasy.

Omfg, the banter is laugh out loud funny. So refreshing after The Sun and the Starmaker with its off-putting characters. Here the leads are charming from the get go, I love them already!
