also started this the other day, as i needed something to read on the train to mark william lewis, that i could also feasibly carry in my bag while dancing. and the vollmann 600+ pages tome was not going to cut it - despite how teasingly close i am to finishing it.

already enjoying the the metaphysical unease and restlessness found in this. that encounter with the ‘devil’ on the train is a gripping start
