3 perspectives make the pace a crawl. Why are sirens a mystery if the book is called The Sirens? Why must we watch these boring gals learn the most basic info 3 times over?

Im dying for a reveal or something at this point its just embellishment. Such ego youre so terrible at mysteries its embarrassing

Lucy has this longgg monologue how she hates her boyfriend, how her friend didnt care about her, how to world hates her but no?? Doing nothing in that first situation was literally the worst thing she could've done.

I know theyre setting up the 'female rage' and wanting revenge but its just not that. All I see is a girl who got screwed over and humiliated, but still has her boyfriend

Also the poor boyfriend Ben. It was all solved her accidently leaked nudes, he genuinely apologized, they were back together, everything is good. Then suddenly shes strangling you one morning and runs away? No apology text, nothing right then no brief "sorry" before scampering off? THATS SO SUSPICIOUS. poor dude like youre just having ur gf over and shes tryna choke u out. Then she runs away 12hrs with no text?So sad

Its not good literally nothing has happened. This girl feels like such an author insert; shaved head, true crime loving wannabe journalist? Its so disconcerting and her monologue is so immature and unbearable.

The sister is on another level of this authors insert: cool person and the fact that the "modern" day for this book is 7 years ago is so bizarre.
