‘To the husband or the judge?’ Mme de Villefort stammered.
I saw questions like this multiple times throughout this book where people ask “am I talking to the doctor or a friend”, “the banker or my in law” and I just love the way they permit people to exercise different versions of themselves based on the occasions.

I changed my opinion on this book. The way every story is merging is insane!! It’s only now I’m realizing the importance of the first half (which was indeed very slow)

I like how people were prescribed southern sun and air, sea at some place……kind of thing as medications😂😂😂

This book is indeed finally picking up omgg
