I really like the descriptions.
I don't exactly like the kidnapping premise--it feels a little 'off' to me, in terms of realism--but I'm ignoring that because the rest of the story is so good. <3

Me when I kidnap a baby because I can't get pregnant!!! It's even more insane because this is presented as absolutely an impulsive and spur of the moment crime, yet the woman is able to disappear without a trace with her ill-gotten baby like she's Carmen San Diego. You literally know her maiden name and you know the seaside town she was staying in. Start checking hotel records for "Anna + German surname." This shouldn't have been that hard.
