First mistake… she literally said earlier in the book that she doesn’t bite her nails but instead messes with her split ends, and yet now she’s biting her nail.

Also, I love how he knows it’s just going to be the two of them and is “supposedly” trying to not do anything, but he brings them alcohol…. Sounds like you subconsciously are trying to make things happen… 😂

Oh and EM 😭😭😭 you RUINED it 😭

He was in fact not about to say that the kiss was a mistake… and so in trying to save your pride, you ruined it all on your own AND broke his heart at the same time.. 🥺🥺💔

Now I understand the foreshadowing that her finding out about her birth parents is going to change things… her dad cheated with his assistant. 🫣😬 sad.

Is that why he fired him? Cause he found out? And if so, I respect holding your friends to a moral ground, but why was he SO upset that he would fire him? I know the mom can’t be his wife cause then Em and Nick couldn’t get together lol
