this is the type of predictable, if not cliche, story-telling that i enjoy - enough elements of the classics that keep me invested w/low levels of stress, ANDDD also includes refreshing + funny dialogue, monster world + cool descriptions of monstrous characters, and decent pacing. i need a book like this every once in a while.

So the FMC basically throws that line back at him as a way to protect herself and emotionally detach, THEN asks him to confirm that it was all just a misunderstanding for him too so she can move on and this man 👏 F U C K I N 👏 D O E S 👏 I T T T T T 🤺🤺🤺🤺
