Maybe I am reading too deep into things but you could not convince me at this point that "The Monster" does not represent Victor's homosexuality. He is running from his own identity, tied permanently to the manifestation of his "sin". Also he like killed a guy or whatever, that's besides the point.

Of course the texts about human reanimation and experimentation are going to discuss humans as object or ingredient rather than a living being. What exactly did you expect????? The morality police does not hang out with the guys who experiment on people and strip them of their free will???

I love a good historical citation in my fictional adaptation to remind me of how the progress of science was at this point in time and how it would not have seemed THAT out of place for a man to attempt resurrection.

Consider me interested 👏"I truly went into this book blind expecting to either enjoy it or use it as a time passer, but the attention to detail and historical accuracy with citation makes it enthralling! It adds to the context much in the same way I'd say "Bone of My Bone" does, where if it was missing the book would become much less engaging and immersive.
