"Mo0n Lake" involves a boat, but nobody seems to want to go. No, plot. no conflict otherwise.

Something happened to Mattie Will. Sounds like rape, but the description is really vague. Welty does a lot of that.

"June Recital" is about is like 56 pages long. I like my short stories in the twenty page range. She now seems to be calling Miss Eckhart "the old woman".
