I still don't understand why she chose to curse any man who loved an Owen's, instead of just cursing John, the man who betrayed her. It's like she assumed anyone who ever fell for it woman of her line was automatically bad. It just doesn't make sense & seems more like a curse on herself & her family, than anything else.

I really hope she takes Faith's advice about Samuel

I couldn't wait for Maria & Faith to be reunited, but all that time spent apart changed Faith & now nothing is the way it should be. And I'm still upset that Maria sent Samuel away. It's kind of depressing me.

"What belonged to you once, will always belong to you. Be grateful if you have walked through the world with another's heart in your hand."

I can not fathom why she would choose to stay in a place that was so dangerous for a woman like her, or why she would even want to, now that she knows the truth about John. She should've taken Faith & tired to find Samuel.

I'm not sure if I'm going to keep reading this. I feel like I know where it's going & it's frustrating that Maria can see her future but isn't doing anything to try to change it & I'm annoyed at all of the glaring signs she willfully ignored.
