Also, apparently the term “patriarchy” was a replacement for early discussion of the topic which used the phrases “male chauvinism“ and some other term. This shift toward the term “patriarchy“ had something to do with highlighting the fact that the issue largely revolved around gender in society. Damned if I would remember what the specifics were! It’s been a few hours since I had listened…
