I can appreciate that every character in this book has something in their lives that prevents them from full assimilation with the rapid advancement of capitalism whether or not they are in privileged positions. I don't exactly know how I feel about having so many perspectives in one title though, it's so overwhelming to constantly pivot from one character to the next. It feels more like an anthology.

Envy of the homeless is CRAZY, I get we are showing a flawed character's need for escapism but envy over "the simplicity of it, wandering the streets, beholden to none" is making my skin CRAWL. Dude what are you thinking.

This book does in fact remind me of the play "Tracks" which every high schooler must watch or participate in at least once in their lives. If it ends up having a similar plot, I will be so incredibly disappointed.

I'm not that far in but Sims is a bit difficult to... digest at times?? It may genuinely be because of my unfamiliarity with the setting? I'm really not sure what it is that it causing me to struggle so much.

I think a familiarity with London would serve me well with reading this book. Unfortunately, this is something I don't have outside of other fictional works (including The Magnus Archives) so the weird behavior described immediately fits into an average Tuesday in London to me.
