I’m going to dnf and stop complaining as soon as the twist is revealed. I know Joey had a reason for kidnapping Abby (that involves her husband) but they keep getting interrupted before she can explain, and she never introspects in her letters/chapters 🙄

uuuuuuuuaaaaauuugghhhhh. im so annoyed that this wild west lesbian couple story with a repressed pastor's daughter protagonist seeing god on account of this pissed off outlaw woman's fingers and strap is so grating to me. it could be the audiobook narrator's trembling voice or how whiny she sounds with accents. or how Stupid the pastor's daughter is. I just want a lesbian book to love, is that so stinkin hard!

Part of my beef with the MC is the voice of the audiobook reader. She says everything so tremblingly 😬
