Just thinking this one is almost like the opposite of found family. It’s family that you’ve grown apart from, that you’re so different from to the point of having trouble understanding their motivations beyond rolling your eyes at them, and then needing to travel half the world with them

I think I wasn’t prepared for the grim feeling of it, tho it’s semi-post-apocalyptic + enviro disaster. Had to set it down for a few days but now picking up agn - abt to begin a journey
lol tangent - just reminding myself of the MC’s name + see Skipper + think of Barbie’s younger sister, + she is in fact the youngest of 3 sisters,1 scientist, 1 engineer I think
