But I absolutely love Jonah because he is an absolute brat. The whole story is he is sent to Nineveh to help the city to repent. But he refuses and rans away (then, the whale swallows him). After the whale vomited him out (lol) he actually goes to the city and the people repent but for some reason he is very pissed by that and tries to kill himself (...)

I finished the Book of Zechariah and the Book of Malachi. I have finished the Old Testament. I would like to end these Old Testament updates with a quote from Zechariah: "Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope (...) And the Lord God shall save them." (Zechariah 9:12.- 16).

Then, he is isolating himself and is dying in the heat and God casts a pumpkin over his head so he has shadow and Jonah is angry at the pumpkin because he just wants to die and God is like: why are you so angry at the pumpkin? And Jonah is just saying: "I do well to be angry, even unto death." And then the Book of Jonah just ends that was hilarious. Like.. whale, pumpkin and a death wish. 10/10 story, I recommend.

Finished Book of Amos and Book of Jonah. Jonah is the guy who got swallowed by a whale. And I would like to quote: "And the Lord spake unto the fish, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land." (Jonah 2:10). So, Gott ist so: "Ey Fisch, kannst du mal meinen Propheten auskotzen?"

Finished Book of Hosea (didn't like it that much, it felt like hate speech) and finished Book of Joel, a beautiful book where the most beautiful description of the second coming was given, wow. I read it like poetry. Great symbolic, big fan. Now starting Book of Amos

Finished Book of Ezekiel. I was surprised that the role of Gog and Magog is already explained there. I only knew about that from Book of Revelations in New Testament, crazy! My fav chapter (beside the Ophanim chapters ofc bc we love eye wheel) is the chapter where Ezekiel goes to the valley of the bones and God raises everyone from the grave there. Now started Book of Daniel, which reminds me of Genesis.

So far, I dislike the Book of Ezekiel (except for the eye wheel chapters, which are cool). But the book is very repetitive, brutal and sad. God is saying "Don't do that or I will do this (...)" to Israel/Egypt or various societies. Ezekiel is just crying the whole time because no one is listening to him and yes, I got it that sucks but why do you have to write down that in 30+ chapters over and over again.

Finished first ten chapters of Ezekiel and I refuse to believe that the descriptions of Ophanim are symbolic because Ezekiel literally describes he could hear "the noises of the wheels." I love it how he is addressing the "wheel" with "oh, wheel" in chapt. 10.
