Halfway through Part 2 and honestly really really into this. There are times when the writing is a bit awkward or stilted or redundant, but I’m not sure if that’s inherent or a translation problem.
Given it is the first translation into English, however, and how much I’m enjoying the world and cultures and everything, I’m not inclined to complain too much. Still a fairly steep learning curve though!

After another delay I finished Part 4. Didn’t quite end the way I expected in really any respect, but I’m into the developments. 1 part left, 100 pages. Hopefully I’ll actually finish this weekend.

Split into 5 parts, I only read the quite short Part 1 today. A very large amount of interesting world/culture building stuff going on to start, plus setting the stage for the plot that the inside flap tells of, and that was all pretty good. A lot of diverse and interesting ideas already, as I was basically expecting and hoping.
