Ah yes- the well known Dutch/German/Swedish mixed language
Might throw some Danish in there as well for good measure.

My confusion with this chapter did not get any better. In fact, I’m pretty sure it got worse. I feel like the author just isn’t that good at writing fast paced scenes. A lot is happening, but it is inadequately explained making it very difficult to situate the characters. Hollis was suddenly not there, but we didn’t see him leave. Alo is suddenly in a different part of the cave. I’m very lost.

The writing in certain scenes is a bit clumsy. It makes understanding what is actually happening difficult- it’s happened a few times now. It feels like the author knows what is happening but doesn’t know how to properly translate that to the reader- like we’re going from A to C and there’s information missing. Where did the wizard come from? Why is he here? Did he follow them? Why? He’s just there suddenly

We’ve reached ‘one bed’ trope levels 😞

While Alo is a fantastic character, Hollis still has the personality of a pencil shaving, but okay.

Not sure how to feel about bro. He feels a little to standard brooding male love interest for me so far, but hey. Maybe I’ll find out differently.

This entire time I thought the guardian was human shaped like a Titan made of plants, which felt out of place in the story for me. Finding out it’s a dragon makes a lot more sense in the worldbuilding.
