A lot of Holland’s inner dialogue is her reminiscing over the old version of her friend, Cat but the book does a terrible job of showing us who Cat actually is other than a mentally unstable person. We only get the worst parts and have to piece them together. Their relationship is basically two co dependent weirdos, not best friends.

I am so confused as to why Holland is mourning the old Cat when that version was just as trash as this new one. Unless I’m missing something that girl was never her friend. Cat’s flashbacks only show us how unhinged she used to be.

How was Holland ever friends with that little house on the Prairie Maga pumpkin spice weirdo?? 🥴

Cat is a sociopath and I don’t see what Holland saw her when they were first met and became friends. Red flags were everywhere. Now she’s a sociopath/tradwife. Just crazy af….
