Ubu needs Maria.

I could never have imagined a conflict of that nature.

For someone supposedly so intelligent, I find Ubu rash. Maria considers things more thoroughly.

This chapter reminds me of Project Hail Mary. I honestly find these nonhumanoids repulsive. They're like a morass of organic matter that eats itself excretes itself, gives birth to and reabsorbs itself.

Now THIS is alien.

Maria should take charge more.

I think I was just too young to appreciate this book when I first got it. The descriptions are beautiful.

They're all so young and in the grip of their hormones.

I have a feeling Maria's plan/s will be better than Ubu's.
