Took a minute for it to pick up for me but I'm decently invested now; can def tell the author is a white man tho lol - the writing style and the way the characters interact with one another gives off that vibe iykyk

It's ok, unless something major happens by the end of the book I don't foresee myself finishing the series. Read too many narratives that are similar to dis (& better executed tbh), likely would've enjoyed it more if I read this yrs ago.

V amused by the idea of retired monster hunters going on one last reluctant adventure while dealing with all the aches and problems that comes with getting old.
Fave characters so far are Matrick (I keep imagining him like Ron Swanson lol) and Moog (always down for chaotic wizards).

Hhahahahah love this! 👏Don't think I've ever heard of a book like this. I can probably relate to them because my knees ache as well 🫡
Also, Ron Swanson is a great visual 😂
