When I said I didn’t know where the book was going, I didn’t predict that it would be going straight into mediocrity…. I miss the banter so much.

I love smut as much as the next romantasy girlie, but not in the middle of an undercover rescue mission. And in a carriage of all things! The Colon and Penelope of it all 🙄

Also , what does “the charm felt like storm clouds and solving puzzles” even mean?! 🫠

This is starting to read like a checklist of romantasy tropes. We’ve had a close-quarters horseback ride, bucketfuls of snark, endless training scenes, lingering glances on balconies and we’re now gearing up for a ball.

That said, I like that Enzo wields light and Elara is a shadow… mummy? No. I don’t like that. Shadow… Queen?

Calling it now: Merissa and Leonardo are bumping uglies.
