I will say main dude's POV has moments that give me the ick, like when he sees a "flicker of intelligence" (p. 116) in her eyes or is shocked she's being thoughtful (p.127). I feel like sometimes he's such a hater outta nowhere???

ughhh annoyances activated - excessive pet name/repetition use. I swear he's called her honey like 10x in the last 2 chapters. it's thrown off his tone + feels like it's forced w/how often it was shoved down my eyeballs. also idk how these two adults are still coming across as so juvenile to me lol lifetime film w/b rated actors lol
