It's fun cause this book takes you through different time periods, and it seems that now when we have gotten to 2020 there is an absurd amony of problems compared to all the previous chapters. Like I get that today is fucked, especially the US. But it's like Gilda is experiencing wars, economic collapse and climate change, for the first time. Otherwise racial problems is the only ones who really has been in focus

Bit of a weird start. The power dynamics doesn't really fit the gentleness of the charecters. For long our main charecter was described only as "the girl", which I thought was a peculiar choice, but perhaps symbolizes a lack of independence or identity? Now she has gotten a name, but it's that of her maker. What am I supposed to make of this?? That she is noone besides who Gilda made her? No, that just isn't right...
