it feels bad to not like many parts of this since the author is being so vulnerable. i guess it makes me feel sad and confused that there are some people who don't even think that they are "alright looking" and genuinely think they are ugly. sometimes it makes me uncomfortable how the author seems obsessed with how good looking the child is but i get that this whole thing is about how- how one is perceived affects
