One of the things I love about writing The Bradley Legacy series is that the books' timelines overlap. Backup Plan (Book 6) starts at the beginning of May, also when Archer (Left Field) has returned from the Bahamas but before his suspension is over. It's very nearly the 50% mark in Liam's book before we get to the scene at the end of Left Field that readers are teased with in Left Field!

There's a scene right after Penny moves into Liam's place with her two kids and one of them wakes up with a fever. This was inspired by real-life events as I was writing... my 6 year old tested positive for Flu A and was fighting a fever, and I thought... well, that's parenthood, Liam! Let's push him right into the deep end!

Fun fact: I knew right away who I wanted Liam's love interest to be because she was screwed over in an earlier book and needed her HEA! When I started writing Liam with Penny, they just seemed to fit... even though she's his older sister's best friend and a single mom going through a divorce.
