A mutant soul eater breaks thru the underworld&attacks them in the castle The little girl soul they saved was in it&she was tethered to them so that’s how the monster found them The underworld is at the brink of collapse Asar says they need to do the ritual ASAP Mische’s soul is slipping away Mische finds Asar a cello they play a song&create a vision of their future Vale arrives w the blood

WhenNyaxia visitedAsar in the last book he made a deal w her but idk what yet Asar broughtMische to the House of Night He used the mask&eye to heal her She wakes up to a confusedRaihn&Oraya who want to help her bc she’s been missing&running w Asar She doesn’t tell them anything She wants to leave Asar goes to see her&they realizeMische is alive again They can touch&yk they do Asar freaking worship Mische i luv it

@the execution siteAsar sees a flashback Srana has a forge there&hid it from the other gods Srana attacksAsar Sentinel attacksMische& she’s thrown into the forge Atrius&Sylina abandon them Mische finds the axe w eye Alarus’ pwrs rush thru her She gives it to Asar who is taken over byAlarus’ spirit The wraiths climb Srana while Asar hacks Asar uses the items to get them out of there b4 the other gods arrive

They go thru the maze&find the keeper but he’s freshly dead They ressurect him by collecting essences&glyphs so they can challenge him&pass Mische sees that he willingly died bc he was sick of the gods destruction He’s alive again & allows them to pass but warns them & kill’s himself b4 the gods war They pass thru to the gods ancient city it’s silent & make their way towards Alarus’ execution site

So there is a Keeper who hides in a maze guarding the Deadlands When they get there they will have to fight him in exchange for passage into the Deadlands
The last time Atrius passed thru he had an army of soldiers to battle the Keeper but there is only 4 of them here 0_0
Mische caught Asar’s mind distant & foggy It’s like the mask/maybe Alarus is speaking to him & urging him

They are in the HouseofNight Asar let’s Mische drink bc she’s weak&let’s her redeem her compulsion pwr w him instead of Raihn Atrius&Sylina are their guides for the Deadlands Asar is sus abt them bc why would they leave the land they rule just to escort them They must want something The pairs don’t trust each other Mische&Asar agree that somehow they will betray them
