Status Update

SentientSpore is 98% done

SO BORING, and if I'd thought the book would just get worse over the course of 50 hours, I'd have actually skipped this one. The characters are repellant people, off-putting scum. I don't understand the appeal to want to write such a shit story. This is the same guy that wrote Five-Star rated "SHOGUN." SMH. Fuck every character in this book especially Angelique's gold-digging ass.

I am halfway through Clavell's third chonker in the series before I realized he doesn't describe, like, ANYTHING. It's almost entirely dialogue and exposition drops. I shouldn't like it - but, I still do, despite pretty much hating every character. But yeah, not describing where stuff is or what anything looks like is odd, I guess. Your imagination compensates for a lot.
